A Must Read Before You Vote This Tuesday

Greetings from the far right, My name is Rich the mechanic. I am Wendy's Hubby. I wanted to take this time to vent some of my thoughts on this historic election.

I love America but to tell you the truth, the government sucks. I wish to share with you my favorite quote.

"Government is not the solution to our problem, Government is the problem" Ronald Reagan

I was emailed a left wing put down that was a "what if" story of manipulating facts to call McCain and his voters racist. One reason was because of McCain's black child and Palins baby being shown on stage with the rest of the families, of all things. This is a new low. I have written my own "what if" . I will not call the left racist but I will call them Socialist. If Obama wins, get ready to "bend over" and "pay out your ass" your hard earned money, so the left can hand it out to people who don't work, lay around all day smoking crack and drinking beer, waiting for the next socialist hand out.

Obama vs. McCain What if things were switched around?

What if John McCain wanted to give your hard earned money to low life people who won't work for a living?

What if John McCain launched his political career in the living room of Bill Ayers the leader of the terrorist group the Weather Underground?

What if John McCain spent 20 years attending a racist church that preached the hatred of America and black people?

What if John McCain wanted to change our beloved country to a Socialist country where the government controls your life?

What if John McCain wanted the government to take over your health care? (Gee they did such a great job with Social Security and Medicaid, lets let them screw up our health care now?)

What if John McCain had ties to ACORN the voting fraud organization?

What if John McCain wanted to invade Pakistan, our Ally?

What if Louis Farrakhan called John McCain the Messiah?

What if John McCain and his supporters ran his campaign using the tactics learned in Saul Alinksy book Rules for Radicals?

What if John McCain had a pal named Tony Rezko the slumlord, convicted felon of 6 counts of wire fraud, mail fraud and money laundering?

What if Cindy McCain said, “America in 2008 is a mean country”?

What if Cindy McCain said “ This is the first time in my adult life that I am proud of America”?

What if John McCain said, “ I have been campaigning hard in all 57 states”? (How could someone with a Harvard law degree not know how many states we have?)

The answer could be in the following quotes:

How did you spend the 1970’s? Obama, “I smoked pot, drank beer and snorted coke” (It’s in his book) McCain, “I was tied up at the time” (It’s History)

Color is Good

Yesterday I went to the doctor for my yearly physical.
My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was high,
I'd gained some weight, and I didn't feel so hot.

My doctor said eating right doesn't have to
be complicated and it would solve my physical problems.

He said just think in colors...
Fill your plate with bright colors... greens, yellows, reds, etc.
I went right home and ate an
entire bowl of :

Now thats my kind of medicine!!!!

What goes around comes around

Since October 3, 1995 I have been steadfast in believing that what goes around comes around...back to you.....OJ Simpson!!!!

We all remember June 12, 1995. That is the day that OJ murdered his ex wife, Nicole and her friend Ron. OJ was arrrested for these murders and we had to endure the grand jury hearings and then the trial. What a media blitz it was, a three ring circus. It was dispicable.

The day that the jury gave their now, how wrong could you be, verdict I was at work. I was crouching down so I could hear the radio that day. My machines were running and were very loud. I had an portable radio set up at my machine so I could hear the verdict first hand. Finally they started to speak.... NOT GUILTY!!!

I couldn't believe my ears! This can't be right. He did it he did it he did it!!! I stood up and looked over at my friend working at the machine next to me. He was looking at me and I mouthed the words to him 'Not guilty'. He shook his head and walked to the phone call that was waiting for him. It was his wife crying on the phone. "not guilty not guilty not guilty".

I knew that he did it and everyone else knew it too. If you didn't you were an idiot!! I had been watching this travesty from the beginning. The arrest the famous bronco chase the mug shot, missing glove, cut finger, blood in bronco, bloody foot prints, ski cap, the DNA!!! The list goes on. The evidence was so over whelming prosecutors won cases by far less evidence. There was no way this guy would get off. He would be made to pay for these murders! It's only right, it has to be.

I too thought he couldn't have done such a terrible thing on June 12, 1994. But by the time all the antics unfolded I knew he did it!! My little mother knew he did it even before I could believe that this guy, that was a member of my football team and made funny Naked Gun movies was guilty. But he was.

Thus the saying "What goes around comes around" is very suited for the day October 4, 2008. Thirteen years to the day after that terrible verdict in 1995. I knew that some day it would all catch up to him. I believed that some day his actions would be questioned by his children. I hope that has come true. I believed that something terrible should happen to OJ Simpson and his so called 'Dream Team'. I believe that has happened. He is going to jail, not for the murders but for something as dumb as kidknapping, robbery, assult.....Finally.....Where's your dream team now OJ?....Pay back is a real doosey......Thusly......What goes around comes around. Amen!

Life is too short

I just got a phone call from one of my friends and she informed me that one of our Kodak friends just passed away. My friends name was Patty. Patty was a very nice person with alot of life and love inside her for everyone she knew. I worked with Patty at Kodak for many years and it was always a nice experience. She was very animated when she questioned something someone did or something she didn't understand. She would speak before she thought about what she was saying but what she spoke were words full of conviction. She was a very thoughtful person. She was a gem of a person and she will be sorely missed by everyone that knew her.

In the past few years after everyone left Kodak and went their separate ways there was a group of us girls that stayed in touch. We always get together at least once a summer or so to see each other and catch up with everything. Last summer I turned 50 years old and the girls gave me a surprise Birthday party. Patty and her husband Vinny were there to help celebrate my birthday!! I remember that Patty was excited to be going back to her southern home before the weather turned here in NY. We all had a very nice day and it was great to see Patty and Vinny. Now looking back I wish I had said something to Patty that would be comforting to me at this time. "See you soon" or "see you when you get back next summer" Those were the words spoken. There is always next time. Not this time.

Patty and Vinny came home to NY the beginning of early summer. She was having trouble keeping her thoughts together and her speech was slurred. She had a brain tumor. They took care of the pressure on the brain with an operation and then they found that cancer had spread to other parts. What a horrible disease! Within 5 to 6 months she is gone. I hope that she is at peace and has no more pain. Life is too short when you think about Patty's passing. Life is too short.............

"May each memory serve as a celebration of a life well lived"

I'm My Own Person!

Sometimes I feel like I am ahead of the curve of cultural fads. What I mean is I usually don't go along with the fad at the moment. I have a steadier hold on the beat of my own person. As Lucy from the Peanuts comic strip would say "I'm my own person!"

I was first introduced to this saying in the 70's when my best friend, Audrey, (who by the way is still my best friend!), gave me a felt wall hanging of Lucy from Peanuts saying "I'm my own person!" Back then Audrey saw this charicteristic in me. If I remember correctly I was sometimes known to buck her ideas about certain things. Things like her like of the new fashion trend, "Hot Pants" I would never have been caught dead in Hot Pants. Audrey on the other hand went right out and ordered some from a catolog! Let me tell you, both of us at the time did not have the shape to be wearing Hot Pants...if you know what I mean. (sorry Audrey!) Even though I knew I would not look good in a pair of Hot Pants I was still hell bent on not being lured into this fad of the moment.

In the mid 80's I was slimmed down and ready for anything considering I was just coming out of a bad divorce and lost even more weight from my exes constant and dellusional lying. I remember I shopped at Fashion Bug alot and had purchased alot of trendy clothes. Ah Ha!, she did buy clothes that were trendy for the time! Yes, but I had the guts to wear these different clothes around the people I worked with that were really stuck in a fashion black hole. They would never try anything different from the norm. It had something to do with Kodak and the fashion perradime they were in!!!! I think.............well anyway, I was ahead of the times when I wore the cute little peddle pusher type pants with the zipper up the sides while everyone else wore just plain old shorts! I was my own person when I wore the baggy shirts with leggings! Now that I got that off my chest..... I do not know if anyone that I worked with noticed this but I sure did!!! Sometimes I am a legend in my own mind..............I digress.

Another example of being my own person is being a conservative. I worked at Kodak for 28 long years and toward the end of that reign I found that it was always better to keep your mouth shut and not say anything about politics or religion. Isin't there a saying that you should never talk politics or religion in mixed company or something like that. In other words, never argue with idiots you will never get those precious minutes back!!! LOL!!! Anyway....I was mostly out numbered when it came to politics. But there were times when I did open my mouth and stated my views. When I did that I would get looked at like I had lobsters coming out of my ears!!! But sometimes you just have to say what you believe in.....that statement leads into Sarah Palin and her debate performance last night................

If there was ever someone who is her own person it is Sarah Palin. Man I don't know how she can put up with all the digs the other side is strewing at her. She must really have thick skin and is really in touch with what she believes in and who she is! I just love her. As I have said before, she is a breath of fresh air. She did a fantastic job on the debate last night and I believe she held her own against that mean Joe Biden. What was going on with his forehead anyway? Sarah Palin has convictions and most importantly she talks the talk and walks the walk!! Never wavering always steadfast in her convictions.......Palin all the way in 2012!!!

Freedom is always worth the price.

I thought this soilder stated his case very well. This soilders name is John Cook and as you can see he knows what sacrifice is. Then you have Lee Greenwood singing "God Bless the USA". That song just tears me up everytime I hear it. I love my country and I am proud of my country, always have and always will be. This song has a special meaning to me because Lee Greenwood was the guest entertainer at my 25 year celebration at Kodak back in November of 2001. Also in September 2001 my husband and I went to Dover Downs in Dover, Delaware to see the Nascar race 12 days after September 11, 2001. Lee Greenwood once again sang "God Bless the USA". At my 25th celebration and at Dover there was not a dry eye in the house after and while he sang this patriotic and moving song! GOD BLESS THE USA and GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!

Hello my name is Wendy.....

I never thought I would be starting a blog, but here I am starting one on October 2, 2008.

My name is Wendy and I am a stay at home homemaker. LOL! Right now I am not working outside of the house but I sure do alot of work inside of the house. I have a husband 2 dogs and 5 kitty cats. My husband Rich, is a hard working guy. He has a thankless job where he works very hard each day. I thank him for his work. And I thank him for being such a great guy! I love him. Then there are my 2 dogs Duke and Daisy. They are named after Duke the hound on The Beverly Hillbillies and Daisy, Granny's name on Hillbillies!!! Everyone thinks they are named for The Dukes of Hazard.....No, it's the Hillbillies.

I cannot leave out my 5 kitty cats. Tasha, Whiskers, Sheba, Cosmo Kramer and Puff Puff. As you can tell I love animals. I usually always have had a pet. My pets through the years have always been my best friends, and I can't remember when I haven't had either a cat or dog as a pet.

None of the Above is a name that my hubby came up with while watching the presidential primaries this year. We really are disappointed in who the nominees are this time around except for Sarah Palin! The Dems picked Obama, the chosen man child, and the Reps chose John 'It's my turn' McCain. Don't get me wrong I mean everything I say about the Man Child and deep down I know that I have to endure John McCain as our candidate, a man that I respect and a man that I believe will be more honorable in the oval office than the Man Child, but..... I would have loved it if Fred Thompson or Mitt Romney got the nod! McCain is too much of a woody wood pecker kind of guy sometimes. Always stirring things up and going against the grain even when he doesn't have to. Hopefully he won't act like that when he is Pres.

And God knows I would rather have seen Hillary get the dem nomination than the Man child, meaning, I believe we know all about Hillary and Bill and their antics, therefore I feel we would be able to beat her in November much easier than the man child. Those last few sentences are a whole blog in themselves and I will comment at a later date, maybe.

I must say that the only bright spot in this whole campaign has been the addition of Sarah Palin as the Republican VP! She is a breath of fresh air and she gives me hope. She is one of us!!! I will cast my vote on Nov 4 for McCain/Palin and hope we win!!! This win will pave the way for Palin in 2012!

You may be saying that I am into politics. Yes you are correct. I feel this is a crucial election. I believe that the Man Child wants to turn this country into a socialist country. We do not need that. We do not need a Robin Hood mentallity running this country. We need rugged individualism. Stand up for what is right. Keep true to yourself and always be able to admit when you are wrong and learn from that.

So that is alittle about me. I have alot more to say so stay tuned for more..........
